Housekeeper

About the Job

Villa at West Branch is looking for a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned areas of the facility to ensure a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and dispose of trash, ensuring liners are properly placed in containers.

  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, and sanitize floors daily.

  • Empty trash bins and maintain cleanliness around dumpster areas.

  • Clean walls, ceilings, windows, stairways, hallways, and light fixtures.

  • Maintain cleanliness of utility rooms and housekeeping closets.

  • Hang draperies and privacy curtains when required.

  • Follow all sanitation and safety standards.

  • Perform additional duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

  • Strong attention to cleanliness and safety.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

  • Experience in a long-term care or healthcare facility is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and climbing.

  • Must be able to push, pull, and handle cleaning materials and equipment.
